The members of our group are trained in synthetic organic and inorganic chemistry, including air- and moisture-free techniques. In combination with the electrochemical methods that are learned, as well as the experience gained with kinetic/mechanistic investigations, heterogeneous characterization techniques, and computational chemistry, Sues Group members are equipped with a unique and desirable skillset.
Wet Chemistry
Our laboratory is equipped with full synthetic capabilities, including Schlenk-lines for air- and moisture-free reactions.
Spectroscopic Analysis
We utilize a variety of analytical techniques to characterize and investigate our catalytic systems, including NMR, UV-vis, IR, Raman, and X-ray Photoelectron spectroscopy. Student can also receive hands-on training at the Water Quality Centre with High-Performance Liquid Chromatography, Gas Chromatography, and Mass Spectrometry.
